Terms and conditions

 General

1.1 MJ Equine serves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without notice at any time. Your continued use of this site after changes are posted will constitute your acceptance of the changes to these Terms.

1.2 All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and include VAT.

1.3 We aim to ensure the prices shown on our website are correct. In the event that an error does occur, we will make every effort to contact you to confirm if you would like to proceed with the order at the correct price.

1.4 Whilst every effort is made to supply all items listed on this website, there are instances where this may not be possible, due to products not been in stock at the time of your order. A substitute with the same or greater value will be delivered instead.

1.5 We reserve the right to withdraw or replace products in our Online Store without notice. Merchandise prices and specifications are also subject to change without notice.

1.6 We make every effort to ensure that the information on this website is correct. However, MJ Equine takes no responsibility and shall not be held liable for information that is incomplete, inaccurate or out of date.

 Delivery

3.1 We will use our best endeavours to deliver your order promptly but cannot accept any liability for a delay, however caused. Our couriers do not deliver on Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays.

3.2 Normal delivery hours are Monday to Friday 08.00 to 18:00.

3.3 Please ensure that there will be someone available to sign for the package when it arrives. If out when the package is delivered our couriers will leave details of were they put the package, it will then be your responsibility:

  • To collect the package from your neighbour (as stated on the note from the courier)
  • Find it in your safe place (as stated on the note from the courier)

3.4 If none of the two options above are available, the courier will attempt to redeliver the package the following business day.

3.5 UKmail re-delivery process can be undertaken twice only, after which couriers are instructed to return the goods to us. In these circumstances you may be liable for any additional courier costs, which will be deducted from the refund of the goods.

3.6 Your local Ukmail depot for collecting will be noted on the note that the courier will drop off if you are not at home to receive the package, it will most likely be in your local town, this will be the case after two failed delivery attempts.

3.7 Parcels can be left with neighbours, A note will be posted through your door to notify you of the delivery and the house number of the neighbour where the parcel was delivered to.

3.8 If the package is delivered to a safe place, the courier will leave you a note stating where it is, i.e. shed, coal bunker, if left without a signature MJ Equine is not liable for any loss or damages.

3.9 Signature at the point of delivery acknowledges receipt of the goods.

3.10 It is our policy to ensure that all our goods are supplied to our customers in perfect condition. We will only exchange or refund products which we deem “not fit for consumption”. If the product is simply not liked by the customer, it cannot be exchanged, replaced or returned.

3.11 We cannot accept responsibility for delivery failure if you provide an incorrect address and postal code or incorrect contact telephone number and/or email address. Please check this information when placing your order. In these circumstances you may be liable for any additional courier costs, which will be deducted from the refund of the goods, upon their safe return to us.

Cancellations and returns

 4.1 To cancel orders please get in touch via the contacts page.

4.2 We will cancel your order and give a refund within 7 days if the order has not been dispatched to the courier.

4.3 If the order is in transit a refund minus the delivery charge will be given providing cancellation is within 7 days after the receipt of the beers and that the beers are returned to us in good condition, unopened and sealed. A refund will be given to you within 30 days of us receiving the goods, as required by the Consumer Protection from Distance Selling Regulations 2000 (as amended). Customers are liable to pay the postage on returning goods.

4.4 If you receive products that are in a poor condition (e.g. broken bottles or spoiled beers), please inform us immediately by contacting me via the contacts page. We will give you a refund on spoiled or damaged bottles only. Photographic evidence maybe required.

4.5 Customers are liable to pay the postage on returning goods, unless the bottles are broken or beers spoiled.

4.6 We shall not be liable to pay any compensation to you, other than any refund as stated above.

4.7 Customers accept responsibility for the safe storage and use of the products upon receipt. MJ Equine are not liable for damage caused by customer mishandling, this includes injuries caused to fingers and/or hands by handling broken glass.

4.8 Goods may be returned within 30 days of delivery, it is the customers responsibility to ensure the goods are correctly repackaged and safely returned to us.

4.9 These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Payment

5.1 Payment can only be made via PayPal or Credit card/Debit card via WorldPay.

5.2 Card payments are made through a secure server, via PayPal and Worldpay. MJ Equine do not store customer's financial details.

5.3 Your personal details are not passed to any third party.

5.4 Your payment will appear as MJ Equine on your bank/credit card statement.

5.5 Payment will be taken at the time of ordering.

Security

6.1 We use a secure payment server with state-of-the-art encryption and secure socket layer (SSL) technology for the transfer of credit card information. Additionally, we have security measures in place to protect our customer database and access to this database is restricted internally.

6.2 It is your responsibility to protect your password from being disclosed to any third party.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file that is stored on your computer, which allows us to improve the quality of your visit to our Website.

They don't do anything i.e. they are not executable code and can only be read by you and the website that created them. You can view and edit the cookies on your computer like any other text file using a text editor (the contents are usually just strings of unique identifiers and date/timestamps). The website that created the cookie can read the contents when you are at their website.
