Splintex

Splintex, the recommended treatment for splints with a 20 year history of success.Splintex helps to reduce the size of new and old splints. Available in silver for new splints and gold for older splints.

 

Splintex Gold
Formulated for hardened splints and other indications such as curbs, spavins, thoroughpins and windgalls.

 

Requires no lay-ups, resting or bandaging and can be used without interruption during showing, conditioning and training. Will not irritate or blister.

 

Applicator brush included.

 

Splintex Silver
Formulated for use on fresh splints. Fresh splints may typically be up to 60 days after initial appearance.

 

Total rest of the horse during treatment is very important.

 

It should be applied very lightly and bandaged. This needs to be repeated on days 2 and 3. The bandage needs to be removed on day 4 and 5. Re-apply on day 6, following the above cycle.

 

If it is not practical or advisable to bandage young horses, then apply very lightly daily for 3 days, followed by 2 days rest. Repeat cycles until splint is eliminated.
